Thanks for your interest. 

Wine is a long term investment and I would suggest holding for up to 10 years. 

If you stick to the First Growths (Bordeaux) and keep you wine for the long term than you will be ok. 

I would also suggest as much research as possible before buying. There are many comapnies with varied prices so do your due diligence. I hope this helps.
